GREENACRES, Fla. — The Pickleball Club, a firm founded in 2019 that develops and operates private, membership-based high-amenity indoor pickleball facilities throughout Florida, recently secured site plan approval with a unanimous vote from the Greenacres city council. The groundbreaking for The Pickleball Club in Greenacres in Palm Beach County will take place after all permits are secured and is expected by the end of the year.
This marks the firm’s ninth announced location in Florida.
“We are thrilled the City Council has approved the Pickleball Club’s site plan, marking a significant milestone in the process,” said Andrea McCue, city manager. “We are committed to working quickly and diligently through the planning stages to get their project shovel ready. We look forward to witnessing the positive impact and joy it will bring to our residents and surrounding community.”
In Greenacres, The Pickleball Club will sit on a 4.9-acre parcel located at 5234 S. Haverhill Road. The 41,140-square-foot climate-controlled facility will offer members 16 indoor pickleball courts, 184 parking spaces, Players’ Courtyard with three covered outdoor courts and two bocce ball courts. Inside, a 3,850-square-foot Players’ Lounge will overlook the downstairs courts, Dink’s Pro Shop and Pickle’s Café, similar to its other facilities. It is expected to open in 2025.
Recently, The Pickleball Club also placed under contract a 3.4-acre parcel in Orlando, Florida at 1427 N. Semoran Blvd. for a 33,800-square-foot climate-controlled facility with 12 indoor pickleball courts, 130 parking spaces and Players’ Courtyard with two outdoor pickleball courts and two bocce ball courts.
The Pickleball Club’s first location is now open and operating in Sarasota near Lakewood Ranch, to much success. Other locations under development include St. Lucie West and Village Park Center, serving the Villages, which are currently both under construction and opening later this year. Additional sites under development include Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, Pinellas Park, Orlando and Venice.
